Mr. King received his Master of Social Work Degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University over 16 years ago and has worked in the Human Services field ever since. With a background ranging from Juvenile Justice to serving the Elderly, he has provided treatment in client’s homes, skilled nursing facilities, locked psychiatric units, detention centers and outpatient offices. He specializes in Behavioral Disorders with children and adolescents, Substance Abuse Assessment and Treatment, Anxiety, Depression and Relational problems. “I want to use my experience and drive to help you. There are no simple answers, everyone’s situation is unique. So, we’ll have to work together. But, I am confident that WE can do it, please give us a call.”
Ms. Silver is a licensed mental health counselor and originally studied in New York state and graduated with a Master of Science in mental health counseling in 2012 from Long Island University. She received graduate and post graduate experience in New York and Florida in community mental health centers, substance abuse rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, psychiatric units and private practice.
Ms. Silver collaborates with individual adults and specializes in mood disorders, anxiety and narcissistic abuse as well as working with a variety of other issues such as grief, women's issues, caretaker issues, and overall wellness. A variety of approaches are used including psychodynamic and mindfulness-based approaches as well as person centered, solution focused and cognitive behavioral techniques.
Ms. Silver is currently receiving training with Integrative Psychiatry Institute as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapist.
